August 31, 2001: TCU and halftime adjustments

There has been a lot of talk of the lack of halftime adjustments by Nebraska in reaction to the TCU defense. NU did some picking and choosing as to what things they fixed at halftime. Some things need a filmroom and a practice field, not a halftime lockerroom. Despite that, some changes did occur in the second half.

November 3, 2000: The Myth of the Oklahoma loss

I hear it everywhere, from the Internet to the teachers' lounge: Nebraska would have never lost to Oklahoma if they hadn't suddenly decided they were a passing team! They abandoned the run and paid the price! Is it true?

September 4, 2000: Defending the Option

Defenses use a variety of differing philosophies when trying to slow the option. Of course, one of the goals of an option offense is to force the defense to do things differently than normal, and spend extra practice time worrying about the option. July 30, 2000: The Bobby Newcombe Proposal

Count me among those that would be going for X number for touches for Bobby Newcombe if I were calling the shots. I like x=10. Peter Warrick touched the ball about 13 times a game for Florida State last year and I bet Freddie Millons was about there for Alabama. I think the Nebraska offense dictates the Bobby's number be a little lower.
