Shotgun is used both in the regular offiense and in the two-minute package. The I-back's alignment is determined by the play called. Sometimes when the QB changes the play at the line the I-back will switch sides. Nebraska's Shotgun is one ofhe most flexible in the nation. Beside the obvious drop-back passing available, NU runs option, power, shovel passes and counters from the Shotgun. NU shows some variations in receiver placement with Shotgun. At times the Huskers will run a Shotgun backfield with the recievers in a Trips, Wide Trips or Spread formation. |
